Pierre-Michel Busque, P.Eng. BEP – Pierre is a professional engineer registered with APEGBC, APEGA and APEY specializing in the design, construction and maintenance of building envelope systems and the diagnosis and repair of building envelope performance problems. During the course of his career, Pierre has assessed or supervised the assessment of building envelope systems and components on hundreds of high-rise, low-rise residential, commercial, and institutional buildings.

Pierre has practiced primarily in BC where he has designed or reviewed proposed building envelope systems and conducted performed field reviews on building envelope systems that were being constructed or repaired. Pierre has designed or supervised the replacement or repair of envelope system components on dozens of buildings. He has also prepared maintenance plans for new and existing building envelopes and provided many expert reports pertaining to building envelope systems that required repairs.

Between 2006 and July 2010, Pierre was a part-time instructor at the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) where he taught two building envelope performance courses. Pierre has written papers on building envelope performance problems and presented at least 200 building envelope seminars across North America. Presently, he serves on the Board of Directors and is the Program Director for the Western Canadian Chapter of Roof Consultants Institute Western Chapter, an Association of Roofing and Building Envelope Consultants dedicated to education.
